Azumo Orbit is a service by Azumo LLC ("Azumo", "we") that helps companies see how search engines and AI answers see their website, and what to do about it. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It covers the Azumo Orbit web app and its API.
What we collect
Your account
Your name, email address and profile picture when you sign in with Google, or your email address when you sign in with an email link. We record when you sign in and which workspaces you belong to.
Your website
The public pages of the websites you add to a project: their text, titles, headings, links and technical details such as status codes. We read only pages anyone can see, the way a search engine does.
What you give us
The company brief, the files you upload to it, your writing rules, articles you write or edit, your messages to the agent, and your settings.
Google Search Console and Google Analytics
When you choose to connect Google, you grant read-only access through Google's consent screen, using the webmasters.readonly and analytics.readonly scopes. For the properties you select, we read:
- from Search Console: the searches that showed your pages, with clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position, by page, date and country, and the index status of your pages;
- from Google Analytics: sessions, engaged sessions and the events you mark as leads, by landing page, source and country.
We store the refresh token Google issues, encrypted, so the data can sync once a day. We never write to your Google accounts.
Other connections
If you connect Microsoft Clarity, we read daily behavior summaries per page (such as rage clicks and scroll depth), not recordings. Your Clarity token is stored encrypted.
AI answers
When you run an AI visibility scan, we send your tracked questions to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude through their APIs and store their answers and the sources they cite.
Usage and billing
What each paid step costs (model calls, scans, images), so we can bill your workspace and enforce its limits, and basic logs of requests to keep the service secure and working.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and short-lived ones that protect sign-in links and the Google connection step. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Your browser stores a few preferences, such as light or dark mode.
How we use it
- to run Azumo Orbit for your workspace: reading your site, showing your search and AI visibility, finding issues, and writing content you ask for;
- to bill your workspace and keep usage within its limits;
- to secure the service, prevent abuse and fix problems;
- to send emails you need, such as sign-in links, invitations and limit notices.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use your data for advertising.
Google user data
Azumo Orbit's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- we use Google data only to provide and improve the features you see in Azumo Orbit: your search reports, findings, recommendations and the content and answers you ask for;
- we don't transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features (see below), to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your notice;
- we don't use it for advertising, and we don't sell it;
- we don't use it to train or improve AI or machine learning models, and the AI providers we send it to don't either;
- people at Azumo don't read it, except with your permission, to investigate a security issue, or to comply with the law.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that help us run Azumo Orbit, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Hosting and storage, for the app, its database and backups.
- AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Perplexity), when you ask for something that needs a model: drafting the brief, answering your questions, writing content or running a scan. The parts of your data the task needs are sent with the request, for example a page's text or its searches. These providers process it under API terms that don't allow them to train their models on it.
- Email delivery, for sign-in links and notices.
- Payments, if you pay by card; we don't store card numbers.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or of Azumo.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your workspace is active. When you disconnect Google, we delete the stored token at once; the data already synced stays in your project until you delete the project or ask us to delete it. When you delete a project or a workspace, or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except what we must keep by law (such as invoices).
Your choices
- Disconnect Google or Clarity at any time in a project's settings, under Connections.
- Remove Azumo Orbit's access from your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, through the contact page below.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. Contact us to use them.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. Access tokens and keys are encrypted at rest. Each workspace's data is kept apart at the database level, so one workspace can't read another's.
Children
Azumo Orbit is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and change the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell workspace owners by email before it applies.
